DGM Consulting repositioned itself and became DGX Consulting towards the end of last year, since then we have been working on the DGX logo. We've taken the beauty of the DGM logo and improved it by incorporating some of our services into it, thus creating the DGX logo, which is now solid gold. The result is that we now have a full animation of the new logo which will be going onto our website as our landing page. The animation will be uploaded to Facebook over the next few days...

Homeless on Christmas day
So yesterday morning when we were giving food hampers to the destitute and interviewed Mr John Williams. We were pleasantly surprised that the SABC were doing a news story on the same corner we were targeting. Follow the below link if you missed it on the news last night:

Everyday People - Plight of a homeless man on Christmas This is John Williams, John Williams is a well-spoken 50 year old homeless gentleman who frequents the Melville area. John’s corner is Main Road (extension of Beyers Naude) and 4th Avenue. His board reads: “Merry Christmas Anything many thanks buckle up drive safe” Today DGX Consulting took the initiative to put together food hampers for the less fortunate in the spirit of Christmas but also to make people aware that Christmas should be a time of giving, not only amongst close family, colleagues and friends but to absolute strangers too. The 20 minutes we spent with John this morning was most appreciated by the plighted gentleman, our time listening, a humble donation and a plate of food was our gift to John. May we ask that each and all of you who read this post please dish up an extra plate of food from your lunch table today and give that plate to the first homeless person you can find. Let us make this Christmas a great day for all by starting a movement. Please share this post to spread the word. John Williams’ Story: We met John on the street corner he occupies and decided to interview him. John or as we have come to know him as, John’O, told us that he has been on the street for 4 years now. He is a chronic alcoholic and this together with the death of all his siblings and parents lead him down the path that he is now on. The longest period he has been sober for was 9 months in 2006. John’O made mention that he can manage to stay sober for the better part of the day but he has to have a daily drink in order to ‘calm his nerves’. John has two locations that he sleeps in, one being underneath the Pharmacy in Melville when it rains and the other is in a homeowner’s yard in 2nd avenue. He prefers to sleep in 2nd avenue due to the security it offers. Security mainly because of the destitute who abuse Nyaope, their addictions cause them to lash out and rob or steal from whoever they can, John’O and his co-homeless included. Nyaope is made of a lethal combination of substances, which can include heroin, detergent powder, rat poison, and crushed anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs). ARVs are the medications used to treat patients with HIV. Please follow the below links for more on the drug: http://ift.tt/1AM1FvP http://ift.tt/1COD5d5 There’s Hope For John Williams: John’O is skilled in swimming pool construction and repair. He recently repaired a generous businessman’s swimming pool who was so impressed with his work that he is willing to offer him a job opportunity in the New Year. All John'O needs to do is sober up. John has a daughter who is being raised by an amazing family in the south of Johannesburg. She is his motivation to sober up and get his life in order. Upon making mention of her you can literally hear the pain and love in his voice since he hasn’t seen her in 4 years. We will catch up with Mr Williams in the New Year and hopefully post his success story. We are holding thumbs for you Mr Williams!
